Under the red siding is just wooden boards... I dunno if that is insulbrick or not... the red stuff is almost like an asphalt roofing material, like you'd see on a roof. UGLY!

The goat buildings floor is tongue and groove boards... I haven't figured out #1, if the floor is sound or #2 how to deal with board floors and waste on them. Maybe rubber matting would keep the worst off it? I'll have to go back in and see at some point, but its the snake building, so I'm in NO rush to go back in there!!!

As for fencing... we'd like to get some yard fencing up for the dogs, to start... then we'll make a small paddock attaching to the goat building... I suspect if we get that much done this year we'll be doing really well... may not get that far, depending what else crops up. The next phase will be fencing off various grazing areas.

There's more than half of our property that we haven't even touched yet... Jess, Shawn and Kyle have been over there, but I've not set foot on the other half yet! Grass is way too deep and scary for me :)

As for fencing options, I don't think we're gonna splurge on 4 board oak or anything exciting... I think we're gonna do quick and easy fencing and then slowly replace it over time. Then $$ can be deferred as money (and time) permits.

I'd love to have the perimeter done... 2 sides are already done with page wire, I'd be thrilled to do the 3rd with page wire and the fourth (front) with something a bit sturdier and nicer looking (4 board oak, lined with no climb would suit me!) but with so many other things that need doing other than livestock related stuff, I have to pick and choose and take some time at it.

Ideally, I'd like to have a goat or two and/or a mini donk before winter... not sure how realistic that is... we'll have to see... depends on time, money and weather! :)
